The tournament, held from October 4th to 6th, comes on the heels of last weekend's Danish Junior Open, where the Norwegian team gained valuable experience. Now, the players are eager to build on their performances as they look ahead to another exciting challenge.
Jonathan Trengreid, who finished 18th in the U-17 category in Denmark, is feeling confident and driven:
– I had a good result in Denmark, and I’m super motivated to play even better at Nordic!, Jonathan shared.
Vilde Odeh, who led the U-17 girls’ team, is also determined to raise her game:
– I feel like I didn’t do my best in Denmark, so I’m even more motivated to perform better here at Nordic, she said.
Philip König, who had been under the weather last week, is ready to make a strong comeback:
– I was sick last week, but I'm coming back strong, and I have a good feeling about Nordic, Philip stated confidently.
Frida Odeh echoed this sentiment, eager to improve upon her Danish performance:
– I’m feeling good about Nordic. My performance in Denmark wasn’t as strong as I’d hoped, so I’m really looking forward to proving a point and living up to my expectations, she said.
Norah Fjellgaard, who has been recovering from illness, remains optimistic:
– Since I got sick last week, I’m not feeling my best, but I’m still motivated for this week’s tournament and I’ll do my best, said Norah.
National Coach Mahesh Mangaonkar is enthusiastic about guiding the team through what promises to be an exciting weekend of competition:
– The players have been working hard, and I’m looking forward to coaching them through another competitive tournament. It’s a great opportunity for them to gain experience on the international stage.
Good luck to all Norwegian players this weekend!
