It was a great couple of days in Bordeaux for the Under 17 European Teams Championship. Although we didn't achieve the results we aimed for—as we were playing with an injured player (number 1, Kristian Knoph)—the fights on court, spirit of the team, and the experience gained from this trip were noticeable!
The level in some of the matches was very close, with scores of 2-1 matches and 3-2 in the last game! The pressure was on, and Kristian, Jonas, Frida, and Milla pushed their limits and left it all on court with very good performances.
Having our young players exposed to close (yet very good) levels of squash, playing intense squash matches a couple of times a day, and watching the European final is indeed an added value.
By the end of the day, we either Win or Learn. We take our lessons from this one, we adapt, work hard, and come back stronger.
Thanks to the ESF team, French federation, and organizers of this tournament for such a successful event. Pictures from the event can be found on Instagram at @ESF_Squash and @noemiedrills
